Nigerian Banga Soup or Ofe Akwu is local to the Niger Delta and the South Eastern parts of Nigeria. In the Niger Delta regions, Banga soup is normally eaten with different fufu recipes: Starch, Pounded Yam, Semolina, Garri and Cassava Fufu. In the South Eastern pieces of Nigeria, Banga Soup is alluded to as Ofe Akwu where Ofe implies Soup/Stew and Akwu implies palm fruit foods utilized principally as stew for Boiled White Rice.
