Fasting during the month of Ramadan is not only build our strong spiritual relationship between us and Allah Almighty but also has a lot of benefits of health. One of the most amazing benefit of fasting is weight loss, we abstain from food eating and don't take calories , the body uses stored nutrients as energy. This can helpful to reduce weight in Ramadan.
Fasting helps the digestive system to take rest. This will helpful in the improvement of digestive system and regulations of bowl functions. Our major organ of the body is the heart, and the fasting also has health benefits for heart, it controls the blood pressure, maintain blood cholesterol level. The fasting is beneficial to reduce the risk of heart problems and give us a healthy heart. The fasting can be helpful to enhance the cognitive functions of the brain.

For iftar, the most important component is date. First of all, we eat dates and the dates have antioxidative properties which can help our immune system to make strong, it is a source of vitamin B12 and magnesium and helpful to regulate body's regularity mechanism and maintain blood pressure.The vegetable and chicken pakoras are also important ingredient in iftar. The vegetables are helpful to make the skin healthy because it contains vitamins and antioxidants. They can help to protect skin from the harmful agents. The use of fruits in iftar help in the hydration, as the water melon comprises high content of water.

Yes, I prefer to have iftar with my family members, my family is my strength. This is special time to spend quality time with them. In this way we can create memories and can get ALLAH's blessings. It keeps me happy when I see that all my family members are eating and share different dishes on the dining table. Iftar is a time when we can seek Allah's help and blessings and it is very lovely to have iftar with family members.

One of the common misconception about fasting is that just to avoid from eating and drinking. But is not just about abstaining from food and water but fasting teaches us patience, empathy and discipline. The fasting in Ramadan gives health benefits as it gives peace to our souls and physical health benefits too.
