✅Why are you upset, what causes you to be depressed??
UPSET
It is the feeling of frustration, sadness, disappointment, anger etc which leaves someone in a state of emotional distress.
When someone is upset, they express the feeling either by crying, tense body language, mood swings, silence etc.
I get upset for so many reasons which includes;
Promise and fail (Disappointment):
I get upset each time someone promise me something and fail to fulfilled it. It is better you don't promise than promise and not fulfilling it. It usually gets me pissed up.
Lack of money to meet my needs:
When I struggle financially, I usually get upset. I hate being broke (without money), it is often so frustrating and makes me feel upset.
Relationship or personal life:
if my relationship or personal life is not going as I expect it to be. And when I am being shout at, I get upset too.
This and many more reasons are why I get upset.
Talking about depression, I don't easily get depressed,, in short it was just once in my life that I have been depressed.
And that depression was as a result of health challenge. I was so ill as at then, that I got depressed. The illness really dealt with me, but thank God Almighty, I am perfectly fine now.
✅What steps do you take to improve your mood when you are upset?
The first step I never hesitate to take to improve my mood is listening to music. I love music so much, and it has different ways of comforting and making me feel better. Music is my number one therapy for mood improvement each time I am upset.
Aside listening to music, what I do to improve my mood also includes: Taking a walk, talking to my trusted friends or even possibly sleeping and when I wake up, I often feel refreshed and better.
✅What advice would you give to those who are very depressed to overcome their depression??
My little advice to those who are depressed out there is;
Firstly, they shouldn't keep quiet about what is bothering them, but instead they should speak out and seek for help. Either by going for counseling, seeking for help from a mental health professional or seeking for advice from a trusted friend.
Secondly, after seeking for help and speaking up, they should go out and stay with their friends or family members, they should avoid isolation in order to avoid anything that will trigger them to harm their selves.
Thirdly, ensure you take time to have good sleep this will help a lot, and aside sleeping, engage in other activities that makes you feel relax and improves your mood, such as contant exercise or listening to cool music.
In conclusion;
Depression is not a death sentence, but can be treated, i.e it is treatable, so the first step to recovering from depression is to seek for help, or you can as well call a help line to get support.
A lot of people who have died of depression did not die because there wasn't solutions, but they died because they refused speaking out and seeking for help and counseling from a mental health professional.
So therefore,, Do not keep quiet each time you are depressed, but always speak out to get help. So you can be totally relieved from the depression.

Rightly said, speaking up when feeling depressed attracts help from people inorder to relieve one of that emotional trauma. Music is also a very good therapy to get rid of such feeling. Best wishes.
