When we visited Nuwara Eliya on August 8, 2024, we had the opportunity to visit the Hakgala Botanical Garden, a hidden gem of our natural heritage. It was part of our journey, so before reaching Ambewela Farm we visited this beautiful garden, which brought us endless joy.
The route was misty from the previous night, but we left our bungalow early in the morning. When we entered the entryway, the cool breeze that is typical of Nuwara Eliya greeted us cordially.

Hakgala Garden is Sri Lanka's second-largest botanical garden. There are some animals, including bears, monkeys, and birds, as well as a variety of flora and trees. The comfortable cold weather that prevails throughout the year promotes the growth of exotic flora and fauna.

Tourists from all over the world come to see and experience this place of natural beauty and peacefulness. We had to spend more than four hours scrolling around the vast garden, admiring the natural beauty and the gorgeous flowers and trees.

The rose garden, filled with exquisite roses in various colors, stole our hearts. We felt as if we were strolling across the rainbow because we could see different colors of flowers while photographing the beauty around us with our phones.

The towering trees scattered across the area offered us shade and a comfortable resting place. All of the paths around the garden were well-maintained, allowing us to take a stroll and enjoy the breathtaking surroundings.

We not only captured the true beauty of the flowers, landscapes, and surrounding mountains, but we also photographed ourselves in various postures.

Even though we left the botanical garden to visit Ambewela Farm, the peaceful atmosphere of Hakgala Garden stayed with us throughout the day.
If you ever get the opportunity to travel to Nuwara Eliya, I strongly recommend that you visit the Hakgala Botanical Garden. Because it gives you the chance to connect with nature and find the time to release your stress.

Every spot of your travel is very beautiful and attractive and the joy of traveling with the whole family is the real joy.This botanical garden in Sri Lanka is really beautiful especially the garden is very tidy and you have captured every flower picture very beautifully which looks very beautiful.
