Decentralized Game Publishing: Breaking Away from Traditional Models

If there is one major industry that have been able to gain massive attention in recent years without no doubt, I will say it is the gaming industry. It has been able to transform a whole lot of things and get better beyond just what we expect. I remember many years ago when we are only use to the pixel adventure type of games. I am talking about games like super mario, sega and many more. But recently, there have been massive transformation that have taken place most especially in the gaming industry.

Now let me make it clear. One of the aspect of the transformation that has taken place is in the aspect of change of running nature. We have been used to the centralised nature for so long, right now there is a change to the decentralised nature and this has really taken place massively. In fact the Decentralised nature was been able to penetrate in the gaming industry because of the innovation of the Blockchain technology. One of the recent wave that is gaining momentum is the Decentralised games that we are beginning to witness.

For many decades, we have been used to the traditional game model which like I said earlier runs on the centralised system. Not only that, it also limit the claim of ownership of assets by the gamers. The game publisher for many years have been acting as the major hindrances between the game and the gamers. The gaming publisher have much more financial control and so limit the financial control that the game developers should have. The Centralized nature of the traditional game setup also did not help matters.

Thanks be to the innovation of the Blockchain technology, we now have the Decentralised approach and so It is getting better much more than before. The Decentralisation approach helps to offer something like tokenisation. Not only that, it also helps in the aspect of ownership and revenue sharing. It helps to give the developers full financial control most especially when it comes to revenue sharing as compared to the traditional gaming system we are all used to that the game publisher have the full financial control much more than the developers.

Not only it also comes with a whole lot of benefits also like massive transparency and offering rewards system even for the gamers. We are just kickstart and i am so sure that in years to come, we will have more games that is Decentralised system based. We are just starting and I am really optimistic about the future if you will ask me.
