Power Up Contest Season 09 || Tron Fan Club

Of course Powering Up is one of the most important thing a person interested in moving ahead on Steemit can do. I have been powering up everything I earn for quite a while now, but in reality my account is still a small one. Now we have to take into account something, there are only two ways to acquire Steem to power up, buy it or earn it. Buying is something that is very difficult for me to do, so I have to take the other option, earn it. Now there are several ways too earn Steem, the most obvious ones are through votes received on posts made and curation rewards for votes given. Other ways are through gifts (I have only heard of these, never received one so I am not sure this is really an option) and of course the other good option is participating in contests and actually winning.

Most of the Steem I currently have staked has come from votes received on my articles plus a small amount from curation. But I have received a small amount of Steem from several contests I have participated in. All in all this year has been good regarding the increase of my Steem holding, I cannot ask for more.

Now the premise of this contest, powering up every week, is certainly something I cannot do. I power up whenever I have what I feel is a decent amount of Steem, and while this could happen in a week it could also take a month or maybe more before I am comfortable with whatever I have to power up. So I will participate in this contest as often as I can, but it will not be on a regular basis, it will be whenever I can power up.

For this week I do have a decent amount to power up, so i will detail what I will do for this power up.

First of course I have to redeem the rewards I have available.

Now after redeeming you can see I am left with slightly over 37 liquid Steem that I can power up, so I will proceed to do so.

So there you have it, I know have well over 1,100 Steem staked. At the beginning of the year I set a goal of reaching 1,200 staked Steem for the year. But for the first half of this year things did not look so good, so I revised my goal down to 800. Then things started improving and I again revised it to 1,000. Currently, half way through September I am thinking I might make it to 1,200 Steem, but I am not revising my goals anymore. I have gotten were I wanted to be and anything above that is dessert.
