The digital money is in digital form All The Way. But in real life, we have to have some money so that we can meet our daily needs. Many people are living in many countries where the local currency is traditional for tangible assets. So conversion of the digital currency or cryptocurrency into local currency for fulfilling daily needs is really important.

In this system, debit cards can play a role. Bitcoin was not popular at that time when the debit card was not available for that. When it was starting to have some financial conversion into Fiat through debit cards or any other means, Bitcoin started to grow more as it could be usable for our daily needs which was the key factor. In this condition, The Year 2014 was a milestone in the history of Bitcoin. The first Bitcoin-based debit card was launched in that year.

After that, the story is known to all because we have seen the price change dramatically in the last decade of Bitcoin. In the year 2014, the Xapo debit card was introduced. That was the first Bitcoin debit card. This pioneering innovation emerged amidst the growing influence of cryptocurrencies, particularly Bitcoin. It was treated as a decentralized digital currency outside the traditional banking system.

The Xapo debit card represented a significant advancement in the practical application of Bitcoin. The conventional debit cards are linked to fiat currencies issued by banks. The Xapo card is different as its users can convert their Bitcoin holdings into fiat currency in real-time at the point of sale. This functionality effectively bridged the gap between the digital system of cryptocurrencies and the established infrastructure of global payment systems.
