First blockchain-based Crowdfunding (Part 01)

Crowdfunding is very crucial in the modern world. This is a digitalised world and achieving trust is very difficult. So Crowdfunding from different parts of the world is a really tough job without the help of blockchain. Golem is the first blockchain-based crowdfunding platform established in 2016. This is a very handy event in the context of the crowdfunding and blockchain world.

Golem was not only a technical achievement but also a conceptual breakthrough. In that time it showed the way how blockchain technology could be leveraged to democratize access to computing resources and revolutionize the way crowdfunding projects are funded. This platform emerged at a time when blockchain was still in its nascent stages, but it quickly became a trailblazer, setting a precedent for how decentralized networks could empower users & disrupt traditional industries.

The idea for Golem was conceived by Julian Zawistowski and his team. A distributed digital Network can perform the work likely that was the thinking of this reground breaking ralized network that could tap into the vast, underutilized computing power distr. but across the globe. The goal was to create a global supercomputer. In this concept, anyone could rent out their idle CPU or GPU power to others who needed it for computational tasks, such as rendering graphics, processing big data, etc.

Golem was designed to be more than just a decentralized computing network. It was also intended to be a platform where projects could be funded and supported by a global community, bypassing traditional crowdfunding mechanisms. Traditional crowdfunding systems have some drawbacks like middle parties, trust, fees, lengthy processes, etc. Golem is different in this sense as it is to create a more transparent and accessible crowdfunding model with the help of blockchain technology. I will come up with some details of this groundbreaking blockchain project in the next couple of posts.

Thanks for talking about the crowdfunding on the blockchain and I believe with the involvement of blockchain this entire process must be very transparent and easy going. Although crowdfunding is not a new concept but with the involvement of blockchain this has gone to the next level undoubtedly.
