First Blockchain-Based Crowdfunding Project was launched in 2016. I have discussed this significant event in the last two posts on this topic. Today is the third and final part where I am going to add some more points with the last post and share some challenges as well.
Initially, traditional most crowdfunding platforms worked on a centralized system. The problem is the controlling power of a central entity and took a percentage of all funds raised. These platforms also often imposed restrictions on the types of projects that could be funded. And this is a limitation for creators and innovators throughout the world. Golem is totally different in this sense. It suggests a decentralized alternative to this problem.
Golem empowered users to take control of their own projects and funding. This democratization of crowdfunding had several important implications. First, it allowed for a more diverse range of projects to be funded, as there were no central authorities deciding which projects were worthy of support. Second, it gave contributors more confidence that their funds were being used transparently and that they would receive their promised rewards, thanks to the immutability of the blockchain.
By demonstrating that blockchain technology could be used for more than just crypto transactions. Golem helped pave the way for a new wave of decentralized applications (dApps) that utilized blockchain for a wide range of use cases. This is a big project as many can join from every part of the world.
As a decentralized network, Golem needed to be able to handle many transactions and computational tasks simultaneously, without compromising on speed or security. This required significant technical innovation and posed a challenge to the development team. And while the idea of a decentralized supercomputer was appealing, convincing people to use the platform and contribute their computing power was not easy that was another big challenge of that time. But now a huge community is aware of this innovative technology.

"Wow, what a fascinating history lesson! 😊 I loved learning about the first blockchain-based crowdfunding project and how Golem paved the way for decentralized applications (dApps). The fact that it empowered users to take control of their own projects and funding is truly revolutionary. 💡 It's amazing to see how far we've come since then, and I'm excited to be a part of this community! 🌟
I completely agree with you, @veigo, that the democratization of crowdfunding had significant implications for transparency, security, and user confidence. It's inspiring to see how blockchain technology can bring people together from all over the world.
Thanks for sharing your expertise and insights with us! 💬 What do you think about the current state of dApps and blockchain-based crowdfunding? Do you have any thoughts on what we could learn from Golem and apply to future projects? 🤔

Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts.
Not yet, I don't have anything particular in my mind currently. But one thing I would like to mention, steem blockchain needs more dapps
