The male peacock (Pavo cristatus), known for its extraordinary feathers, is also a bird associated with refinement and beauty. The Indian peacock, a bird from the tropical parts of the southern continent, has a long and extravagant “train” or tail which can be as long as 2 meters, even 6.6 feet at the very least. The feathers, often colored in blue and green and approximately shaped like one of the six awe-inspiring peacocks found within, display a beautiful range of blue and green that closes for courting.
Most importantly, the peacock’s mouth ends in a short stronger beak which is used in urticle forobtaining a composition containing seeds, insects, or small vertebrates. Regardless of how ostentatious a bird may seem, the peacock’s beak serves a purpose — hunting and pecking at the ground for food as well as self-defense.
Peacocks are not just solely for their beauty. They are a part of many cultural and religious practices. Their feathers are often used for decorative as well as artistic purposes and represent elegance and vanity. In their natural habitats, these species are commonly seen in wooded and savanna areas where they blend elegance and efficiency as they move around. Conservation efforts… aid in protecting natural habitats and for the times to come, people will still enjoy their beauty and curiosity.
