Paraprofessional

A paraprofessional is someone who provides aid to trained professionals in the education, healthcare, or social services fields. In educational settings, they assist teachers with students, carry out classroom and other non-teaching duties. Paraprofessionals frequently work one-on-one with children who require significant attention in the learning process. In the health field, they also provide some assistance to nurses or therapists such as getting tools for procedures or writing a chart. It is noteworthy that fully licensed professionals are not employed in its full capacity but paraprofessionals get preparatory education in order to perform the tasks required of them. Their function links the professionals to the populations served continuously, thus improving the flow of activities or the quality of care or education. This helps in the development of a collaborative culture.
