Wildlife conservation

The preservation of biodiversity and the protection of species from extinction can only be achieved through wildlife conservation. There are, however, numerous contributors that are forcing a decline in wildlife populations, including habitats loss caused by human activity associated with people’s basic needs such as deforestation or poaching as well as systematic pollution caused by industrialization. Therefore, wildlife conservation also includes prevention measures as well, where endangered species are protected, ecosystems are restored, and wildlife sanctuaries are built—not to mention the enforcement of anti-poaching laws and the promotion of sustainable practices. Public education efforts, as well as the endorsement and active participation of the local community, are the final critical factors contributing to the success of wildlife conservation activities. These wildlife species conservation activities also aim to ensure that wildlife is only partly about protection of the animals, ecosystems and the delicate interrelations that sustain humanity as well. It is the safeguarding of wildlife that also guarantees the preservation and survival of the natural elements essential for life on Earth.
