쥐똥나무(privet)

가을에 까맣게 익은 열매가 쥐똥처럼 생겼다하여
이름지어졌다는데, 울타리목으로 많이 사용되고
꽃냄새도 짙고 향기롭다보니 발길을 자주 붙잡네요.

척박한 땅에서도 잘 자라듯이 꽃말도
강인, 강직한 마음이라고 하며
검은 열매는 자양강장제, 피로회복, 당뇨,
고지혈증 등에 좋다고 하네요.
