As this is the age of quarantine, I thought I'd get to work posting my favorite travel videos I've made to DTube. I feel like some visual memories of the good old days of freedom is a worthy method of combatting the current drudgery.

Leading off at number 10 is a memorable trip with two of my best adventure buds, Ryan and Oli, in our natural habitat - on a mountainside trail in Norway's Jotunheimen region, about 4 hours by car north of Oslo.

A few hundred meters elevation change separates the frozen from the fresh. Here we split the difference.

This particular location is called Besseggen and is one of the (very many) famed hikes of Norway. The Jotunheimen National Park contains Norway's highest elevations (Galdhøpiggen and Glittertind), so despite the resemblance to the fjords, the lakes are freshwater. Besseggen's peak elevation comes in at 1743m, a good ways below Galhøpiggen's 2469m, but still makes for some fantastic scenery.

It was great to be out on the trail early in the season, technically before opening day, but the weather more than allowed for it. The huge benefit of this was that we were almost the only tourists on the trail. In fact, we ended up seeing quite a few more REINDEER than people!

After ascending to the top, we identified a little used side trail that scaled down the side of the mountain. Made for a rather interesting descent, but despite some bumps and bruises and a slightly twisted knee, we made it back safely. Not after stopping for some trail lunch, though:

Nothing beats camping food cooked on the Primus.

Nice weather plus no crowds also makes a great recipe for drone flying, so you can bet we had them out and hovering about. Almost too many good shots to fit into one video!

Without further ado, here is video #10: An Epic Norwegian Hike: Besseggen - Jotunheimen:
