The world continues to be alert to the presence of the coronavirus, which originated in China and has already spread to more than 151 nations, representing more than 60% of the total number of countries in the world. Until this March 18, the World Health Organization (WHO) has confirmed a total of 199,258 cases , of which 798 belong to Latin America. In Venezuela, as of Tuesday night, 36 cases of coronavirus had been confirmed .
China, the country where the virus started, has the highest number of infections, with a total of 81,077. Until now, the COVID-19 has left a balance of 7,956 deceased people in the world . Although scientists are searching for a vaccine, to date there have been no results and it is estimated that it will arrive within a year. Meanwhile, nations must take the necessary preventive measures to avoid more infections, and especially deceased people.

So far China tops the list of countries with the highest number of infections (81,077); followed by Italy, with 23,073 cases; Iran, with 14,991 cases; Spain with 13,716; South Korea, with 8,320; Germany, with 7,272 cases; and France, with 6,634 cases.
