Oh, these are photos from a few years back when we were still living in Europe and had made a trip back to Australia to visit family. On one of those trips, we did a bit of a drive around the Great Ocean Road in the south of Victoria... an incredibly scenic drive, and we stopped in briefly for a bit of a food and rest pitstop at Apollo Bay.
The area that we parked at was a little park with a crazy amount of weird and interesting sculptures... and on the other side of the road (behind the camera) there were a few cafes and bakeries from which we got take away to eat on the park benches.
... yep, a bit of a poor background choices there! The public toilets...
What you can't see in these photos is the absolute gale of a wind that was blowing... the area is on the southern coast of Australia, and there is stiff cold air coming north from Antarctica. So, cold and windy... which makes for a really fast lunch!
... and lots of chasing around for wrappers and loose bags!
Thankfully, we were able to drive a bit further around, and we got out and took some really nice photos of the surrounding area. We were on higher ground, and you will remember how cold and windy it was! Well, still cold and windy... but with a much better view, it was more tolerable! Plus, having a full tummy and warm coffee in hand did make things much more bearable!
