Ah... staying in so many places around the world... and now, staying in lots of new places in Australia. That is the life of a travelling worker... and most of the places are decent enough as well... even if I have pretty minimal requirements. Power, bed, and a clean bathroom is pretty much all I need. I only crash there in the evenings anyway!
So, this particular trip... I was put up in some apartments in the North Shore suburb of Crow's Nest/St Leonard's. An apartment block called Trinity... I'm not sure that all of the apartments are short stay rentals... and those that are, are likely being run by a different company.... perhaps. Who knows how the world of real-estate works.... I once remember renting a house from a company that was in the same office as the real-estate that was advertising it.... but there "were different" companies. Haha... lame.... and likely, a touch illegal... or at the very least, immoral.
Anyway... Trinity... a great location on the North Shore. This is an area of Sydney that I'm not quite so familiar with.... but here, you have easy access to the motorway that leads across the Harbour Bridge if you need to escape the hellhole that is Sydney! Plus, there is easy access to trains and buses that give you a rough 30 minute travel time to the CBD of Sydney.
So... decent enough location, close enough to the CBD... but not so close that it is impossibly expensive!
The apartment is nicely furnished... even if it is a bit generic in taste. I guess if you are renting out a place, you don't want too much on display!
It is a bit weird to have motorised blinds... I've never had that sort of thing... well, I've had motorised outdoor blinds, but the ones for inside strike me as crazy strange! The outdoor ones are hard to reach or to get to... the inside ones you could just walk up to and do it by hand! Sigh... this is the age that we live in?
A small kitchenette rounds out the living area... I'm not so fond of having all of this in a single space... but this isn't a house, but a rental stay apartment. That said, I'm pretty sure that people do live here properly in the apartment block. I thought that at least the two neighbours seemed to be pretty settled in.
A nice spacious master bedroom with an adjoining ensuite... and at the other end, two single beds in a different room with a seperate toilet/shower/washing room. So, this is the perfect size for a small family to be holidaying in.... or living in, as long as your kids didn't mind sharing the room.
Finally, a nice little balcony... with a direct view into the neighbouring apartments. There were quite a few nights where I was just looking out... only to see a neighbouring couple cavorting around on the bed. Hmmm.....
So, Trinity... a comfortable short stay apartment option with cooking facilities (and a parking slot). Great for short stays whilst working or holidaying... and close enough to public transport options to make travel to the city easy enough!
