A Visit To Almansa - A great day trip from Valencia. Castle and yummy Gazpacho Manchego

When we moved to Valencia in 2008, we became friends with our landlord and even though we don't live in his apartment anymore we're still in touch with him and hang out once in a while.

Ever since we met him, he wanted us to come and visit the town he was born in, Almansa. We promised we will but we we had no idea it will take us 13 years to finally do so.

When we arrived our landlord couldn't have been happier that we finally made our promise come through and we instantly set out for a tour.

We started out at Plaza Santa María, lined by the church, the Palacio de los Condes de Cirat and not too far you can see the Castillo de Almansa on a hill. We climbed up to the castle to take in the incredible views and learned a bit about the history of Almansa.

We had a great time and didn't realize that it's already lunchtime. We set out to drive to a small restaurant in the country side for an incredible meal. The star of this lunch was definitely Gazpacho Manchego which was served on a giant tortilla.

This video was recorded with this camera.
