The primary universal kite celebration in the city was held at Shri Shiv Chhatrapati Krida Sankul at Mhalunge-Balewadi on January 26, 2014 , Republic Day.

Kites of different sizes and shapes like that of a whale, Panda, Teddy Bear and so on were flying in the sky.
