It's been more than a year but the pandemic has not been under control just yet.
Our daily life is still so much restricted and our kids are still not able to play carefreely with their friends and do their activities.
The daycares are closed again after just for one and a half months opened for service.
Well... I'm not a very social type who likes to party and hang out with crowd of people often, so "social distancing" doesn't really disturb me much, however I do miss travelling for leisure.
The last holiday trip that I had was the one for SteemFest4 in Bangkok at early November 2019.
It was a nice and fun experience as always. Reminiscing about this trip I just realised that I haven't written much about it previously nor posted many photos during the trip.
There have been so many things happened since then and things are never the same again.
I have once thought whether there would ever be another gathering for the community like the 4 previous ones.
Before my question has yet to get any significance to be answered suddenly the pandemic outbreak occured.
I never thought that my question would be answered in such a harsh way.
Now after 1,5 years went by it seems as if we still have long to go before life can get back into normal.
Thinking about that... I think it is quite nice to just sort out some nice pictures and share little stories about them to cheer up the days a bit, especially since the spring blossoms might help with the atmosphere afterall.
The first 4 pictures show the fruits so typical in South-east Asia and two off them belong to my favourites, which are young coconut and durian. Durian is known as the king of fruit. People's opinion towards this special fruit generally just give two possibilities: it's either they love it or hate it to the core :-D.
Therefore it is normally not allowed to bring durian to the hotel or to take it in flight out of consideration towards those who hate it, because their smell is impossible to conceal at all.
The 3rd fruit is called jackfruit, which is very sweet and has a special fragrance too, but it is not as strong as durian so it doesn't cause so much of disturbance to those who dislike it.
The last one is not so unfamiliar to westerners, it's mangoes. Neverthless I do think that asian mangoes are more delicious than what we often found in common supermarkt in Eurepe, and we have plenty of specieses too with their own distinctive flavor.
I actually have searched for another fruits but they happened to not be in season when I was there. Those that I long the most.
In Indonesia it's called Jambu Air
This is how "Jambu Air or known as Java apple look like:

The next following pictures were taken at the wet market nearby my hotel (Prince Palace Hotel) and the China town streetfood alleys which was stretched along the Yaowarat road, Bangkok.
This streetfood alleys was just like heaven for me and reminds me of my own home country because we also have the same things there. The food just taste superb and cheap.
For the seafood fans it is like a paradise since they can be sure that their fish-dishes are certainly fresh because some of food stalls would even keep the living crabs and fish in the aquarium. They would only kill and process the dish when the customer ordered it and chose which one they wants to eat.
Like this one restaurant for example, the owner would then weigh the fish or crab and determined the price after the choice was made.
)
These one above were not sold while being alive, neverthless they were still considered fresh cos people can still see whether the fishes are still good or not. Anyone can cook would definitely be able to distinguish between the good seafood and the rotten ones.
My little family of three was residing at Prince Palace Hotel with breakfast inclusive and I must say that they also serve good food. This is what I always love the most in Asian hotels because we would normally have at least three options of breakfast style, which are: western style, chinese style and local style (this time is naturally Thai-cuisines).
However this hotel even offered more than that because they also offer vegan/vegetarian style breakfast (often it was kind of indian cuisine) and japanese sushi, so we really had a rich breakfast everyday.
However I do have one dish that I never want to miss out each day which is the noodle soup with meat balls on the picture below.
Looking at these pictures again always makes me so glad to have such a sweet and considerate little daughter. She was never a nuisance when we took her to a restaurant or any public occasions.
Naturally she is just like many other toddlers too that have their moments of mischievousness, but overall she never made us embarassed while being in the public places. Despite her obstinacy she never threw tantrum uncontrollably either.
This is why we never left her at home with a nanny and always take her with us as long as it is not explicitly stated by the host that it's forbidden to bring a child.
Ah... looking at this pictures does give me itchy feet somehow LOL. I hope we can soon be freely travel again.
Ok dear Steemians... that's all for today and see you again soon in my next post :).
Oh! I'm really happy to see that you posted these pictures from your last trip to Thailand.... These remind me of the good memory that we all met in the hotel and I miss you all, especially your little princess, very much. Yeah! She is a very cute and really good angel. She always had friendly and cheerful smiles.
Durian is my favorite, too. Yummy!
All foods in your pictures look delicious.
I enjoyed reading your story and watching your pictures. I also do hope that "we can soon be freely travel again" and I'm looking forward to meeting you and your warm family again in Bangkok soon. ;)
(Presently, the situation is worse here..... We have to stay home almost every day, except the day we have to go to the supermarket for buying some fresh foods or other necessities.)

It's more or less the same here. The policy is changing quite often.
Just about 2 weeks ago we're allowed to do some activities aside of going to doctors and grocery shopping or other urgent things with the premise that we have a negative result of an antigen test not older than 48 hours. And the daycares were no longer in emergency services since then (of course the hygiene measures are still the same).
However the daily infection rates is rising again the last days so the daycares have to close again and only open for emergency (only for children from parents who can not take care of them at home for justified reasons).
This is why I am not really sure whether the policy for other things would be more strict again soon.
Perhaps people are getting more careless while doing their things outside since they think those antigen test can make sure that people are not infectious anymore.
However they forgot that those tests do not give out a 100% correct result.
So one still has to be cautious anyway and keep the appropriate distance to each others and reduce some group actitivities into a minimum level as it is possible.

Thank you for providing me the COVID-19 situation in your area. The daily infection rates here is rising every day, too. And more people died because of the COVID-19 and some people died due to the side effect after receipt of vaccination. That's so sad!
Many places have to be closed from 09.00 p.m. till 04.00 a.m.
I agree with you, "we have to keep the appropriate distance to each others and reduce some group activities into a minimum level as it is possible."
Let's hope that everything would be back to normal as before soon.....
Wishing you and your warm family safe and healthy!
