All the shops in Bogra district except a few categories have been asked to remain closed till further notice to prevent the transmission of coronavirus. District Magistrate Fayez Ahmed issued the public notice on Sunday afternoon. The notification has also been shared on Facebook under the name 'Deputy Commissioner's Office Bogra'.
All stores will remain closed until further notice to control coronavirus outbreaks, the statement said. Only fertilizer, seed, pesticide, raw material market, grocery store and agricultural machinery shop can be kept open from 8 am to 5 pm. No shops can be kept open after 5 pm except drug stores and doctors' chambers. Government emergency services will be excluded from this announcement. The public notice said that legal action would be taken against anyone who disobeyed the order.
Bogra Deputy Commissioner Fayez Ahmed said the decision was taken as a district magistrate in the greater interest of the people.
