On the last days I went to Marliana, it's not too far from where I live, it's really a wonderful place.

The area of Marliana is situated where the Valdinievole Valley meets the appenines Mountains. It's close to the pincio River and it's well know and appreciate from the citizen of Pistoia.

The area is Mostly covered of chestnut trees, and the hills around Marliana  have many lovely  slopes with vines and olive trees, during the oil season the hills are full of people. The marliana oil is well know but it's also know fir the big chestnuts and the  mushrooms and other fruit of the forest. Also during the mushroom season Marliana its full of people in search of this treasure.

Marliana as you can see have a little charming city center, medieval and in Grey old rocks. Most of the doors and windows are nicely decorated and some very religious habitants paint their houses too with Jesus and mother Mary.

Religion is very important here, they have two churches and are very devoted. The ppolyationbis composed mostly of old people.

Also if the place it's noce and in a good position between Pistoia city and the mountains it's hard to stay there for young people. There are not many job places or restaurants and pubs.

Another nice thing of marliana it's their cat house in the city center closo to the bar there are many cat houses for abandoned cat, here you can free feed them or adopt them if you want. Most of them are really friendly and nice.
