This weekend I visited one of the most suggestive places in Tuscany, it was a nice walk in a somewhat impervious area but it was worth it, do you think geysers don't exist in Italy? Wrong, we too have something similar, Monterotondo's boraciferous geysers!

These smoky geysers are situated in a place called the Biancane, in a park that it's totally free you can also rent an audio guide for few euros!

This place is called Biancane due to the white rock formations of which the area is rich, famous precisely for the very particular and rare geysers in our area, in the geysers there are various types of gas and a minimum quantity of hydrogen sulphide, these fumes are really impressive to see, I've never seen them before and I was very impressed!

In addition to the geysers there are also mofete and lagoni, other creations of the land, creating a truly suggestive environment. The path to get there starts at the rims lakes from there it is about a half hour walk among the rocks and fumes and other sediments eroded by the vapors.

It takes about two hours to visit the whole park, there are various paths, some covered by fumes and others that lead to the jasper quarries and very beautiful panoramic views, many sections of the route are uphill so comfortable shoes are recommended.

The view it's really fascinating and amazing, the walk worth all the fatigue.

The atmosphere it's special there like walking in another planet, I was really charmed by that place.

The geyser was cool but also scary, and hot! During the visit you can also see many different rocks and crystals really charming under the sun light.  It's really a place that deserve a visit if you travel in the Monterotondo area.
