Hey pals,
Here I am up with one more hidden gems of India. SAMBHAR LAKE, it's a remote lake 90 km away from Jaipur situated near a small town known as sambhar.
Sambhar lake is Indias largest inland salt lake.
The area occupied by this lake differs from season to season, so roughly it is between 190 and 230 sq km.
Also, being an extensive saline wetland, the depth of the lake fluctuates from season to season. During peak summers (dry time), the depth measures as low as 60 cm (24 in) but during the monsoons, it goes up to 3 m (10 ft).
Sambhar lake, is also famous for stargazing camping and due to sambhar lake nearby areas are also developing.
Lots of hotels and resorts are coming up with their own adventure section near sambhar.
For now, it's not so popular among the tourist section but with popularity, it won't be hidden at all.
