In this article I will tell you about My journey from Bangalore to Mumbai under circumstances for about a day in late September.
On January 25, 2014 at around 10 AM I boarded an overnight train from Bangalore to Mumbai CST. In total it took me about 18 hours to make the journey and during this time I was constantly on my feet because of the cramped conditions that were present in the sleeper coaches.
Despite all these issues however, overall my trip was very enjoyable and as long as you keep your expectations low then you will be fine travelling by train. When I arrived in Mumbai CST at around 1 PM local time, I was immediately struck by the enormity of the city. It is truly a beautiful place and even though it can be quite overwhelming to walk around for hours on end, it is definitely worth taking the time to explore this magnificent city.
That evening I decided to head over to Mahalaxmi Temple which is one of my favourite religious sites anywhere in India. The temple is massive and even though it can be quite crowded, it is still worth visiting for the stunning architecture.
Overall I had a great experience travelling by train from Bangalore to Mumbai and I would definitely recommend doing so if you are looking for an affordable way to get around India. Just keep in mind that travelling by train can be quite cramped and uncomfortable at times, so make sure to prepare accordingly!
What amazed me on my way from Bangalore to Mumbai was the sheer size of the city. Mahalaxmi Temple was also one of my favourite religious sites I have ever visited and it is well worth visiting if you're in Mumbai for any length of time. Train travel can be a bit cramped and uncomfortable but it is definitely an interesting experience nonetheless. Overall, my trip was great and I would definitely recommend travelling by train if you're looking for an affordable way to explore India. Just be prepared for some uncomfortable travel conditions! The only thing that surprised me on my way from Bangalore to Mumbai was the sheer size of the city. The Great Indian Food festival was organised at Kanakapura and it really helped bring some much-needed attention to a town I have saved up many memories in over time. Read more here...
The bright colours of Delhi were both beautiful and bizarre, resulting in one impressive sight as I walked along all through Old India . One common complaint about this part of India is the overwhelming and pervasive pollution, but on a clear day like I had, it was hard not to be impressed by the sheer number of people and lively atmosphere.
Hope you enjoy My journey from Bangalore to Mumbai under circumstances for about a day , it was fun to do and hopefully someone can learn from my mistakes. And if you haven't already, please check out my other travel posts!
