Woody Point, Queensland, Australia.

Woody Point is a picturesque part of the Redcliffe Peninsula in Queensland, Australia. The very fact that Redcliffe is a peninsula, means that there are a variety of beaches and walks with ocean views available to the public.

Woody Point boasts many charming eateries, restaurants and seaside art and craft shops, and all of them combined, provide this area with a casual and relaxed seaside atmosphere. The subtropical climate means that visitors and residents can make the most of the beaches for many months of the year.

A variety of water sports are a popular pastime all year around also.

A small tent was partly hidden among the trees and as I took quick capture, I couldn't help but wonder about the circumstances of the campers as it is not a designated camping area.
So many people have lost so much in these trying times and some people are doing it really tough. I really hope these guys were just enjoying a night or two of camping and had not been displaced.

An old hewn tree stump is an obviously victim of strong winds or stormy weather.

I've always admired this white house with its picket fence and manicured garden. It sits high on a cliff and has uninterrupted views over Moreton Bay.

Woody Point is historically significant as the landing spot of Mathew Flinders in 1799. It is the final resting place of the heavily armed 'Gayundah' warship wreck which first took to the water in 1885 before being decommissioned in 1958.

Jetty Square is situated on the western side of Woody Point.

The Belvedere Hotel is the perfect venue for relaxed outdoor dining and of course one of its main features is the stunning view overlooking the water. Many a picturesque sunset image is captured from this vantage point.

Another great feature of the Belvedere is the attractive and comfortable alfresco dining area and the cheerful and energetic vibe it generates.

Wow amazing place. And also I like to visit the great barrier reef whenever I visit Australia. These are the extraordinary natural wonders....

Thank you @punkblogs for your welcome visit and comments. Yes, the Great Barrier Reef is spectacular. I haven't been there myself and one day, I hope to get there myself.
