So the main thing you would need to do if stranded on a desert island is find a water source, now I learnt how to get and open a coconut I can rest assured if I ever was deserted on one I could definitely last a few weeks.
My friend came out to mexico so we got a few days together before I have to fly on 24 th. We went out to Isla Blanca for the day I’ll do a whole post on that and how to get there when I get a chance to sit and sort the photos out. Isla Blanca is a very remote secret spot mostly only Mexicans go to, it’s a beautiful white sand strip with just a small cafe and toilets. We decided to walk all the way along the Sandy strip for a bit of an adventure and we found this small coconut grove. There were lots scattered around the floor eaten by birds but then I found a whole one and I threw it against a tree and managed to get the juice out but a lot of it spilled onto the sand. That started me and my friend on a mission to get one from scratch, since there were none on the floor we had to knock one down. We found a really long stick with a sort of hook on the end and managed to knock one down, I also found a couple of low hanging small ones I could just twist off.
Now we had to break into these guys, we took the bigger one back to the hotel room to open but managed to open the smaller ones by just throwing them against a tree. They didn’t have much flesh as very young but the water was actually really nice and even more satisfying that we did the whole thing.
The bigger one took the whole trip home with us on the collectivo bus and we opened it back in the room.
Noice!! Last time I was on a beach with coconuts, I figured out how to open them up with a rock to get to the water without spilling a drop!
I'd survive too I think!
