Arriving at Koh Chang

Hey travelers,

today I want to take you on a trip around Koh Chang, my absolute favorite island in Thailand.

Ko Chang is located in the Gulf of Thailand on the east coast of Thailand near the border with Cambodia. With 429 km² it is the second largest island in Thailand after Ko Phuket (492 km²).

The island is about 30 kilometers long and a maximum of 13 kilometers wide.

The island, which is more remote from the major Thai resorts, is increasingly being developed for tourism. White sandy beaches, coral reefs for diving and sights such as waterfalls are attractions for vacationers.

There is no airport on the island, car ferries run regularly to the mainland. The closest airport is at Trat.

Bang Bao: Bang Bao is a particularly beautiful place or pier in the southwest of the island of Koh Chang. The beautiful former fishing village is located in a small bay and mainly stands on stilts in the water. Here you will find numerous fish restaurants and small bars which are perfect to linger. Particularly noteworthy is the beautiful lighthouse at the end, because you shouldn't forget the camera at sunset.

Hope you enjoyed the trip around Bang Bao and Koh Chang. There is so much more  to see here. In the next parts we´ll take a look at the amazing white sand beach, the waterfalls, Aana resort and much more.

Koh Chang is still a secret tip and a pearl at the Eastcoast of Thailand.

Have a beautiful Sunday

Tom🤙
