A local market is an important place in rural life. This local market is held for two days a week and the villagers sell their produce in that market and some go to buy the necessary things from that market. Today I am going to share 1 picture of my local rural market in the 10-picture competition organized by @steem-for-future.
The most important and most sold product in the rural market is vegetables. The farmer brings the vegetables grown on his own land to the market on this day. There are also many who buy wholesale from farmers and bring them to the market for commercial purposes. This picture is of a wholesaler who buys products from farmers and sells them to customers in retail.
The market has just started. Vegetable sellers are waiting for buyers by arranging their products. Local farmers produce them. Since the transportation costs are comparatively low, the prices of vegetables in this market are much lower.
This shop only sits on the market two days a week. They don't have a house, they sit on the ground and arrange their products. This is a dry fish shop. Various types of dried fish are available here. Customers take their favorite dried fish and buy it.
Small wholesalers buy products in this local market and then sell them in this market to make a profit. Here is one such image: a wholesaler is trying to buy garlic from a farmer. This garlic is basically being sold as seeds.
A popular thing in Bangladesh, this is the one where most people in the village eat pan supari. This person is sitting with a palm supari cushion where there are packets of pan supari, various tobacco, and zarda products.
This is a delicious food shop that is sold in the open. Each of these foods is sweet. People who come to the market spend some time in these food shops.
This is an old cloth shop where second-hand clothes are available at low prices. Before the market starts, the cloth seller is sorting his clothes according to different grades. Here, buyers sort the clothes and bargain for low prices.
This is a variety store. Ropes, various yarns, some cosmetics, small mirrors, and some books for children are available here. In this picture, a customer is looking for the product he needs.
This is also a beautiful shop. Here you can also find some daily necessities that the buyer feels the need for or feels that he needs to take.
This is a picture of a busy time at the market. You saw in the opening pictures that the vendors are spending their free time. Now, look, there are a lot of buyers in front of the shop. Many are asking for prices and many are choosing products.
