Hi Everyone,
It's my pleasure to share the beautiful places of my own town. The city has changed compared to the previous year. Even the people who have traveled for a long time keep on getting surprised when they return back home. So, I would like to write about the different places we have in my city.
Picture Number One
People sell different goods in this beautiful shopping complex. From this picture, you can see plastic buckets in front of the shop for customers to see. People rent this shop to sell a variety of goods with the hope of earning a profit and using the money to support their family. The color painting on the wall is unique, which makes the area captivating for customers, particularly the educated ones who like fancy things.
Picture Number Two
This is the newly constructed road by the government of my state to ease the movement of private and commercial vehicles. People are waiting for a taxi to board to their final destination. Solar lights beautify the area at night and also help both the pedestrians and vehicles that don't have full light. In that case, it will reduce accidents from happening. This road network allows vehicles to move freely without experiencing any kind of potholes when driving.
Picture Number Three
This is another newly constructed hostel for university students. The building is still under construction. What remains is painting and other minor work. Students who rent this hostel will not experience much stress because the hostel is close to the tar road. The hostel is not far from their school, which gives them the opportunity to return to the lecture room on time without waiting for a cab to take them to the University premises.
Picture Number Four
The above image is A.A Rano mosque located inside their filling station. Travelers from the northern part of the country stopping by and pray the solat they missed while on the road. This mosque was built for Muslims to worship their creator, i.e., by praying five times a day.
Picture Number Five
This warehouse was built to store goods for those who want to buy and take them to where they need. You can see from the image that a bus was parked inside the premises, delivering the goods to the warehouse with the help of some carriers who will collect money after their job. We have warehouses in my city, but most of them sell different products such as soft drinks, provisions, and so on.
Picture Number Six
Whitefield Hotel is a nice place to visit. Both locals and foreigners lodge at this hotel for seminars or business purposes. They will stay in this beautiful place until they finish what they are here to do. They can choose from different Nigerian dishes, such as Nigeria jollof and chicken, swallow (amala), pounded yam, fried rice, and so on. The rooms are neat, and the workers know how to treat customers in a respectable way.
Picture Number Seven
This Doctor Hall was built for seminars or workshops relating to health training. Doctors gather in this hall to discuss the various challenges and the way forward. Sometimes they discuss about their welfare; most of the time, they rent the hall to the general public for people who want to celebrate their retirement, weddings, birthday parties, and so on. The money they generate from it is used to maintain the hall and other important equipment that needs replacement.
Picture Number Eight
The above picture is Fortress College, which is located in Islamic Village. The proprietor of the school painted the walls of the school in a unique way to meet the standards of other schools. Children receive quality education in both Western and Arabiyah. The school takes its students on excursions in order to learn more about what is currently happening outside the world.
Picture Number Nine
Secondhand clothes, known as okirika, are common in this market. These clothes are available for those who don't have money to buy new clothes. They have different clothes for everyone, such as baby wear, underwear for women, and nice T-shirts for men. Sellers display these clothes by hanging them outside for buyers who intend to buy them.
Picture Number Ten
The above picture is of Item 7 Restaurant where they sell only Nigerian jollof and fried rice. Table water, yogurt, and exotic drinks are available for people who want to enjoy themselves. They open at 8:00 am in the morning and close around 9:00 pm at night. They have branches in different location. Students like to eat their food because the aromatic taste is unique.
We have so many amazing places. In fact, this unique area contributes to the development of my city. I will like to invite @rossnenye, @adese and @josepha to participate in this contest.
