Unforgettable Italy Contest. Rome. Trevi Fountain

After visiting the most beautiful churches in Rome, we head to the squares of Rome, which have beautiful fountains adorned with sculptures made by great artists of the time. Roman monuments, beautiful fountains, monumental statues, Egyptian obelisks can be found on every corner of Rome. Admire the beauty of the Trevi Fountain,walking through Piazza Novana, climbing the stairs in Piazza di Spagna, admiring the view of the city from the Victor Manuel II monument, shopping in Piazza Campo di Fiori or seeing Piazza San Pietro are some of the things you can do to make them on a visit to Rome.

The Trevi Fountain is one of the most impressive Baroque-style fountains in Rome and is located in the square of the same name, the Square of the Three Roads. A lot of tourists come here every day to admire its beauty and "to ensure their return to Rome", according to legend, they throw money into the water that is collected every night and used for charitable purposes.

The fountain built by architect Nicola Salvi is a spectacle of beauty, water and life. This is demonstrated by the symbols of the statues that make it up. At its center is the god Neptune seated on a shell surrounded by two newts, one struggling to control his horse and representing the ocean and storms and the other representing calmer lakes and waters.

In the sides of the main stage there are two statues, representing the Health on the right and the Abundance on the left. A relief carved in marble is reminiscent of Agrippa, who built the Aqueduct in the 19th century BC. The fountain was built on the site of this aqueduct at the confluence of three waters, Tre Vie.
