L'altro giorno al telefono parlavo con un vecchio amico appena rientrato dalla capitale di tutti i cubani.
C'ero stato ad aprile non e' che la situazione sia cambiata poi di tanto.
Lui preferisce soggiornare a Miramar, anche per comprensibili motivi di sicurezza, i costi sono maggiori sia per le case che, soprattutto, per il trasporto da e per il centro citta'.
Oggi esistono gruppi whatsapp dove puoi contattare un taxista, concordare tragitto e costo dello spostamento e via discorrendo.
I tempi in cui per andare in aeroporto mi piazzavo col mio zainetto sul marciapiede fermando i taxi di passaggio sono finiti definitivamente.

Mi raccontava che la noche de Cuba e' oramai poca cosa, questo lo avevo verificato anche di persona pur non essendo piu' un animale notturno.
Se fai nottata prima del primo pomeriggio non ti svegli, oggi mi sembrerebbe di sprecare la giornata, un tempo la pensavo diversamente, non so se il cambio sia dovuto all'eta', alla saggezza, alla pigrizia o a tutte queste cose insieme.

Mi raccontava che oramai funziona un po' come da noi in Italia, il lunedi' e di moda un locale, il martedi' un altro e via discorrendo per tutta la settimana.
Non e' piu' come una volta, quando dove andavi cadevi comunque bene, oggi bisogna sapere, conoscere.
Anche a Tunas la noche e' un pallido ricordo di cio' che era un tempo, mettiamoci anche il fatto che, quasi sempre, le luci dei parchi cittadini e delle strade sono spente per los apagones e vi renderete conto che spesso e' meglio stare a casa.

Ci sono dei buoni locali; Bellavita, Cachet, Monaco dove puoi fare nottata ma un tempo la si poteva fare anche por la calle, oggi tolto qualche sporadico sabato quel tipo di vita e' finita.
Fare nottata a Tunas, giusto per capirci, costa come farla nella Capitale, i costi (intendo proprio tutti i costi...) sono simili, al limite non spendi lira di Dio per il taxi perche' la citta' e' piu piccola ma nessuno creda alla cazzata che "al campo" (quale campo?) si spenda di meno.

Oggi preferisco vivere il giorno al massimo, la notte oramai e' poca roba oltre ai problemi di sicurezza, meglio dormire.
Soli o in buona compagnia.

LA NOCHE DE CUBA

The other day I was talking on the phone with an old friend who had just returned from the capital of all Cubans.
I had been there in April and the situation hasn't changed that much.
He prefers to stay in Miramar, also for understandable security reasons, the costs are higher both for houses and, above all, for transportation to and from the city center.
Today there are whatsapp groups where you can contact a taxi driver, agree on the route and cost of the trip and so on.
The times when to go to the airport I would stand on the sidewalk with my backpack and stop passing taxis are definitely over.

He told me that la noche de Cuba is now a small thing, I had also verified this in person even though I am no longer a nocturnal animal.
If you stay up all night before the early afternoon you don't wake up, today I feel like I'm wasting the day, I used to think differently, I don't know if the change is due to age, wisdom, laziness or all of these things together.

He told me that now it works a bit like here in Italy, on Mondays one place is trendy, on Tuesdays another and so on throughout the week.
It's not like it used to be, when wherever you went you always ended up well, today you have to know, understand.
Even in Tunas the night is a pale memory of what it used to be, let's also add the fact that, almost always, the lights in the city parks and streets are turned off for los apagones and you'll realize that it's often better to stay home.

There are some good places; Bellavita, Cachet, Monaco where you can stay up all night but once you could also do it by the calle, today apart from a few sporadic Saturdays that type of life is over.
Spending the night in Tunas, just to be clear, costs the same as spending it in the capital, the costs (I mean all the costs...) are similar, at most you don't spend a dime for a taxi because the city is smaller but nobody should believe the bullshit that "in the camp" (which camp?) you spend less.

Today I prefer to live the day to the fullest, the night is now little thing besides the security problems, better to sleep.
