in palestra ti scaldi, in aula come fai?

Pazzesco!

In recent days, especially in La Stampa, the controversy regarding the temperatures in Turin and Piedmont schools has exploded.
We're talking about 9/10 degrees, it's cold.
The other day I was talking to a friend with whom, in the Middle Ages, I did ISEF and who teaches physical education in a secondary school.
Frozen gyms and lessons to be done with the duvet on, but at least
You warm up in the gym, how do you do it in the classroom?

I have seen images of lessons held with children/young people who bring blankets from home and wear them over their windbreakers to teach lessons in class, windows sealed with insulating tape to prevent drafts from entering, radiators which are active a few hours a day to try to save.
Now it could also be that these kids are a little cooler than we were but I don't remember ever being cold at school.

Since they are state schools, it is up to the state to provide but given the increases in energy prices due above all to the unfair, stupid,
self-defeating sanctions against Russia, the results are that today we have to give a lesson to the cold.
It would be all too easy to blame those 4 runaways from the current government but the sanctions were decided by Draghi with the support of Salvini, Conte and Baio-Letta.
Now the result is that many parents are not sending their children to school, especially in primary schools, for fear that they will catch an illness and then have to stay at home which complicates life for them.
a family in which both parents work.

Let's also consider the depressing structural situation of schools
Italian ones, radiators that don't work, faulty or blocked boilers, broken fixtures.
There are even schools that send children home because they are too cold,
Bear in mind that the minimum temperature, by law, should be 19 degrees.
Crazy!

It's disheartening to hear about the challenging conditions in Turin and Piedmont schools. Ensuring a comfortable and safe learning environment is crucial for students well-being and academic performance. Structural issues and external factors like energy price increases and sanctions further complicate the situation. Hopefully, there will be effective solutions to address these concerns and provide a better educational experience for students.
