Come ci siamo ridotti cosi?

How did we end up like this?
How was it possible that many have given up on the dream, on the myth, on the possibility of feeling proud of their car, their motorbike, their way of dressing?
The world really is going upside down.
When I was a boy it was a whole competition to stand out from the crowd, there were the cremini with their Loden, the paninari with the Mooncler, the companions with their parkas and Clarks on their feet, maybe the scarf
Palestinians around their necks, bundles with their leather jackets (which incidentally I also wore, especially the RAF one bought with my pocket money savings), then there were those like me who liked things that weren't in fashion like the American university jackets that I still wear today with infinite pleasure.
I played sports, judo and football, I watched films, loving that type of clothing, in addition to jeans and leather boots, became almost natural.
As a kid you dreamed of the motorbike to be cool with the girls, in the family money was what it was and then my parents didn't like the idea of the motorbike, I was satisfied with a sort of Hello, better than nothing.
At 17 I started working, I became totally independent in every type of choice.
But we really tried to stand out, perhaps in a somewhat childish way but being out of the pack was almost a physiological necessity, you were looking for your individuality, your desire to show that you had ideas, lifestyles.
If they had offered me an electric scooter.
Don't tell me that these are economic reasons because those sad contraptions cost money, then at the end of the day you save a little more and buy a scooter... nothing but
electric scooter.
What a world my friends, what a world...
Hi! @aston.villa The narrative vividly captures the nostalgic journey of adolescence where the desire for personal style and individuality was paramount. Mentions of leather jackets, sports and motorbike dreams reflect the universal experience of youthful aspiration. Resistance of an electric scooter. which is seen as a departure from the rebellious spirit. Adds a touch of humor and irony to the narration, highlighting the changing times. It's really awesome.
