APPLICATION FOR COMMUNITY CURATOR TEAM - FOR GAMES AND APP / FEBRUARY 2025

Greetings to the Steemit Team and the Community,

we are really happy about this great opportunity that the Steemit team makes available to developers.
Very recently, with my team @italygame, we launched a game on the Steem blockchain: steem-retrogames.
For this, @ilnegro and I, @girolamomarotta, introduce ourselves as curators for the month of February.

What our game consists of

Steem Retrogames wants to create a new virtual space that aims to combine fun and interesting winning possibilities for all the Steemit users.

Users will be able to find games in “Retrogaming” style, that is inspired by the coin-ops of arcades and of early home consoles, which were widely popular between the 1970s and the end of the last millennium.

The game is very simple, you can play it from your PC, in both free and paid versions.

The paid version requires the user of Steemit to purchase a game at the cost of 2 Steem and his aim will be to make the highest score on the leaderboard.

The user with the highest score will win the daily prize.

There are many prizes: one daily, one weekly and one monthly.
In addition, there are random prizes that will reward, once a day, once a week and once a month, a lucky user regardless of his or her score in the overall ranking.

Why our game is useful to Steemit's platform

Our idea of creating a very simple game inspired by games of the past, is to attract the attention of new users who will need a new Steemit account to play.

Moreover, these kind of games are already very successful in other social networks, like TikTok for example, attracting many retrogaming enthusiasts and also young Gen Z and Gen Alfa members.

The existence of games designed for Steemit users also create engagement between existing users, making the whole platform more lively and active.

How a Community Curation account would help our game

Being in its infancy, Steem-Retrogames is little known and would need support in daily reports, in which we transparently inform about the distribution of rewards and ranking data.

Not only that, we continue to inform users through posts and video tutorials on how to participate in our game to facilitate the use of the Steem-Retrogames platform.

Supporting our posts would help us to grow but above all to increase the prizes to be distributed to players and the weekly jackpot within the contest sponsored by @italygame dedicated precisely to Steem-Retrogames players.

In fact, in addition to the prizes on the Steem-Retrogames platform, we have created a competition to distribute further prizes to all players: a Steem jackpot and the first 3 winners will be beneficiaries of 40%, 20% and 10% of the next post of the competition.

Curation could also support all the users who participate in the game, who write posts about the game or who promote it on social media.
We already have new competitions in mind to present soon.

Another idea that we would like to propose is a Steem-Retrogames Championship between the various communities.
It would be nice to create a collaboration between all the interested communities and develop other contests to encourage all users both new and old to actively participate in the life of Steemit through the game of Steem-Retrogames.

Clearly, it would be very much appreciated and of great help if our Witnesses were supported by the Steemit Team, this would allow us to continue developing our projects and keep it going for as long as possible.

We are truly grateful to the Steemit Team for proposing this new Curation system to help all developers and communities who are trying to bring new ideas and proposals to the Steemit platform.

We hope to be considered as February Curators and we can guarantee that we will carry out this task in the best possible way with the seriousness and devotion that has distinguished us for years.
