I don't know to what extent I'll be able to convey the idea, but yesterday morning, a few hours before a real tornado arrived in our area, which fortunately didn't cause much damage, I did some manual work, a mangy one , but really mangy, which I had been putting off for some time, for a few months, also considering the fact that my family did not enjoy the highest esteem, in terms of actual ability to resolve the issue positively, which in practice was the large mosquito net in the living room area- entrance of our house, it had been torn at the top for some time, for a length of at least half a meter, to the point that at the beginning of the summer my partner was determined, she wanted to change it at all costs, because in that way it would not we could go on, face a summer in which the mosquito net was opened more and more times a day...

I was against it, for various reasons, the first of all being a question of costs. Calling a company and having them provide a cost estimate for a mosquito net of several square meters in size would risk spending several hundred euros. Secondly, I had already mended, in a more than acceptable manner, 3 of the other 4 mosquito nets in the house, one in particular with a repair, needle and thread, which has resisted for some years, so I had offered to do the same thing with this one as well as seen in the two images, which to a certain extent convey the idea of ​​the effort I endured, but with great personal final satisfaction...

The weather was very uncertain, it promised rain at any moment, but the area where that mosquito net is located is sheltered by a terrace above, certainly if the tornado had arrived I would have had to retreat into the house, because even if the winds blew very strongly in other directions, I was exposed in any case to sprays of rain and some sporadic gusts of wind, but the whirlwind arrived in the early afternoon of yesterday, so I had finished the journey a couple of hours ago my effort, because it was really hard work, I can assure you, but I did it with great pleasure, probably because I was convinced of the final result, which aesthetically won't be the best, but functionally this repair is unquestionable, it came together definitely acceptable manner, I made perfect use of one of the two moments during the week in which my partner is away from home cleaning a villa in the hinterland, I wanted to surprise her when she returned home, after a moment of bewilderment initial, looking better at my work and above all by activating the manual opening and closing of the mosquito net guide several times, he told me that I had done a good job, certainly functional and resistant, it was what I wanted, after a couple of hours spent to insert a needle and thread into the weft of the mosquito net and into the hard plastic profile from which the mosquito net itself had detached...

Non so fino a che punto riuscirò a rendere l'idea, ma ieri mattina, qualche ora prima che arrivasse dalle nostre parti un'autentica tromba d'aria, che fortunatamente non ha fatto tantissimi danni, ho fatto un lavoro manuale, di quelli rognosi, ma veramente rognosi, che rimandavo da tempo, da qualche mese, anche in considerazione del fatto in famiglia non godevo della massima stima, in quanto a capacità effettiva di risolvere positivamente la questione, che in pratica era la grande zanzariera della zona del soggiorno-ingresso di casa nostra, da tempo si era lacerata in alto, per una lunghezza di almeno mezzo metro, al punto tale che all'inizio della bella stagione la mia compagna era decisa, la voleva a tutti i costi cambiare, perché in quella maniera non si poteva andare avanti, affrontare un'estate in cui la zanzariera veniva aperta più e più volte al giorno...

Ero contrario, per diversi motivi, il primo tra tutti per una questione di costi, chiamare una ditta e fargli fare un preventivo di spesa per una zanzariera di diversi metri quadri di estensione si rischiava di andare a spendere diverse centinaia di euro, secondariamente avevo già rammendato, in maniera più che accettabile, 3 delle altre 4 zanzariere di casa, una in particolare con una riparazione, ago e filo, che resiste da alcuni anni, per cui mi ero offerto di fare la stessa cosa anche con questa che vedere nelle due immagini, che rendono fino a un certo punto l'idea della fatica che ho sostenuto, ma con grande soddisfazione finale personale...

Il tempo era molto incerto, prometteva pioggia da un momento all'altro, ma la zona in cui si trova quella zanzariera è riparata da un terrazzo sovrastante, di certo se fosse arrivata la tromba d'aria mi sarei dovuto ritirare in casa, perché anche se i venti hanno soffiato fortissimamente in altre direzioni, ero esposto in ogni caso a spruzzi di pioggia e qualche raffica sporadica di vento, ma la tromba d'aria è arrivata nel primo pomeriggio di ieri, per cui avevo terminato da un paio di ore la mia fatica, perché è stata davvero una faticaccia, ve lo posso garantire, ma l'ho fatta con grandissimo piacere, probabilmente perché ero convinto del risultato finale, che esteticamente non sarà il massimo, ma funzionalmente questa riparazione non si discute, è venuta in maniera decisamente accettabile, ho sfruttato alla perfezione uno dei due momenti durante la settimana in cui la mia compagna è assente da casa per le pulizie in una villetta dell'entroterra, volevo farle una sorpresa, quando è rientrata a casa, dopo un attimo di sconcerto iniziale, guardando meglio la mia opera e soprattutto azionando diverse volte l'apertura e la chiusura manuale della guida della zanzariera, mi ha detto che ho fatto un bel lavoro, sicuramente funzionale e resistente, era quello che volevo, dopo un paio di ore passate a infilare ago e filo nella trama della zanzariera e nel profilo di dura plastica dalla quale si era staccata la zanzariera stessa...
