Meet friends, this beauty is a golden beetle, or as it is coolly called "Golden tortoise beetle."

The name tortoise is because it has a shield like a turtle that is visible behind its transparent body.

Meanwhile, the elite wings are golden metallic in color. Very beautiful, friend.

This beautiful beetle can be found in Southeast Asia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and China. Well, besides dropping down, when danger threatens and the sun is hot, the golden beetle will fly.

Its shiny body, will reflect ultraviolet rays, thereby dazzling the predator's sight. This striking color, also gives a signal to predators, that it is a poisonous animal. This beautiful beetle is also very fond of eating leaves. However, it is different from the ladybug, which is a pest. This golden beetle eats leaves which are not food plants, or which have economic value. So, it is not included as a pest huh. This golden beetle lives in rice rice areas which are close to water channels. Well, one of their favorite plants is the leaves of kale.

Golden beetles have biting and chewing mouthparts. Well, during the day, usually the golden beetles will take shelter under the leaves. This is also where the golden beetle parents lay their eggs.

During its life, the golden beetle will experience perfect metaphorsis. Golden beetle eggs are placed in segments like this, which are usually attached to the bottom of the leaf tip. The number can reach up to 30 eggs. And they will hatch on the 10th day.

The journey to become a beautiful golden beetle is still long, my friend. Previously they would become black larvae which resembled human hair. These larvae or caterpillars will last for 3 weeks. In the next stage, it will turn into a pupa. In that phase the gold color will start to appear. It will go through the pupa period for 7 days, before turning into a young immature. As they approach maturity, there will be a change in color. Its elite wings have begun to form.

OK, friends, that's all for now, information about golden beetles. Hopefully it can increase our knowledge about the wild animals that are around us. Until see you again, success to us all.

Greetings always compact
