Here are the updates of this day, entirely dedicated to the sea. (I know, I'm posting it in the next day, but these are the moment that allow me to post).
As I wrote in the last post, we rented a car so that we can move with greater freedom.
After a night of discomfort and stiff neck (due to a light coolness taken in Rio Elba the night before: being high on a hill, it is a nice cool area, and in the evening there is always a nice breeze - even excessive. The little cough increased immediately my covid anxiety, and so I ran to the pharmacy to buy propolis tablets), we went to Lacona beach, after Capoliveri. Unfortunately we did not get the right day, the wind in fact had brought some algae to the shore and the water was much less crystalline than expected. We still had a good time, but it was a real shame to see Lacona so "subdued" by his standards. To avoid repeating the mistake, we downloaded an app called OrientElba, which recommends daily which are the most beautiful beaches based on the wind.
We consoled ourselves by going later on to the beach of Barabarca, a stony beach that can be reached via an almost endless and beautiful staircase. Here we had more luck: clear and wonderful sea, perfect for some diving given the numerous pebbles that host colorful fish.

We stayed in Barabarca until aperitif time, and then calmly went home to take a shower.
For dinner we went to Porto Azzurro, not without some difficulties in finding a parking space.

After dinner, between boats and small shops we ate an excellent ice cream, drank a good moscow mule, and finally we went to bed.
I was dead tired but we still stayed up for another hour chatting and planning the following day.

Buongiorno a tutti!
Ecco gli aggiornamenti di questa giornata, interamente dedicata al mare. (Lo so, sto pubblicando il giorno dopo, ma questi sono i tempi che mi permettono di pubblicare).
Come vi avevo scritto nell'ultimo post, ci siamo attrezzati per noleggiare una macchina così da poterci muovere con maggior libertà.
Dopo una nottata di scomodità e torcicollo (dovuto ad una bella frescata presa a Rio Elba la sera prima: essendo in alto, è una zona bella fresca, e sulla sera tira sempre un bel venticello - anche eccessivo. Ovviamente la lieve frescata presa non ha mancato di far accrescere la mia ansia da covid, e quindi sono corso in farmacia a comprare delle pastiglie alla propoli), siamo andati nella spiaggia di Lacona, dopo Capoliveri. Purtroppo non abbiamo azzeccato la giornata giusta, il vento infatti aveva fatto arrivare a riva un po' di alghe e l'acqua era decisamente meno cristallina del previsto. Siamo comunque stati bene, ma è stato un vero peccato vedere Lacona così "sotto tono" per i suoi standard. Per evitare di ripetere l'errore, abbiamo scaricato una app che si chiama OrientElba, che giorno giorno consiglia quali sono le spiagge più belle in base al vento.
Ci siamo consolati andando in un secondo momento alla spiaggia di Barabarca, una spiaggia a tratti sassosa che si raggiunge tramite una scalinata quasi interminabile. Qui ci siamo rifatti: mare limpido e meraviglioso, perfetto per qualche immersione visto i numerosi sassetti che ospitano pesci colorati.

Ci siamo trattenuti a Barabarca fino all'ora dell'aperitivo, e poi con calma siamo tornati a casa a fare una doccia.
Per cena siamo andati a Porto Azzurro, non senza trovare qualche difficoltà nella ricerca del parcheggio.
Dopo cena, tra barche e negozietti abbiamo mangiato un ottimo gelato, bevuto un buon moscow mule, e infine siamo andati verso il letto.

Ero stanco morto ma siamo comunque rimasti svegli un'altra oretta a chiacchierare e progettare il giorno seguente.
