Robots are nothing new, the new thing is that they are doing humanoids for multiple tasks that a non-humanoid robot can do, I imagine it is to avoid the "uncanny valley" crow, which is why they seek to make robots more similar .

Ok, companies have been implementing robot help for quite some time now, what I hope is that humanoids are not too similar to us, so much so that they replace us entirely.
