Not long ago, I left my old golf putter at a custom shop to restoration and painting. It's a time-consuming task, and I heard it takes about five days by hand. There are many holidays next week, so the work will be completed around next weekend. The custom shop sent me a picture of the progress they started working on it yesterday.
The first task of customization is polishing, and It's very careful works, smoothing out the scratches and painted parts. To maintain the existing intaglio letters and marks, it is need to grind very finely so that the original structure is not damaged. I was very satisfied with the picture I received yesterday. As expected, I think it was good to leave it to a competent specialty shop.
I think it will probably paint and coat next week. The intaglio letters and marks on a black background are going to be gold, white, and yellow color.
