The best way I've found with repeat tasks, is to write the rules in the original post and instead of continuing it as a conversation, just edit the teams in that post.

So you could tell it the rules for each match, and then all you do is edit the teams and ask it to simulate. It's the best way that I've found of getting consistent results for things like this!

The number of times I've been working on something with ChatGPT then after 5 or 6 comments, it just goes stupid!!
