Treacherous 17th Disc Golf Hole at Northwest Vista College in San Antonio. TX

It's a great little 18 hole partially wooded course that goes around the Community college.

Here is Hole 17th (Below)

with a throw of 200ft or so over water to the side. Most beginners with any experience can get it across the water. Although it's still not easy when the wind picks up. The Pros can cut off a big chunk to get to the pin at that tall tree where it's located. Well over 350 ft.to get there and make the putt to get a birdie ( it's a par 3)

We have a hole similar to this near where I live. I think it is the second or their hole on the course and I have lost one or two discs trying to get over it. I need to make sure I get out more this year than I did last year.

We should find a middle point and throw this year. Do you know of any other Michigan Steemians? (Maybe we should make a community lol)

Yeah, I have come across a couple here and there. Never met up with them. I know of at least five or six including you.

I have never tried Disc golf, but with how I love walking it is something i do want to try one day and thats looks a beautiful spot for it

I think you would really enjoy it. I played this course that went up and down the side of a ski mountain. It was crazy.

that does sound crazy but fun

So is it 350 to get over the water or just to the basket? I really like that you can try and figure out how likely you are to get a certain distance and play the odds on different angles.

We dont really have any baskets like this around me in West Michigan.

Well the basket is right near the water so it's around 350 to the basket. I had that kind of arm 15 years ago but not anymore lol

My greatest claim to fame is almost skip-acing a 350 foot hole twice in one day (on my birthday) a couple years ago. Now, I'm more in the 280 range consistently and am very happy if I am able to hit 300.
