Beer Saturday
We've seen shocks in Soccer with top teams getting beaten by lesser known minnows in the FA cup. We've seen top seeded tennis players lose to unknowns. These are what we call shocks. Well there's a Beer Saturday shock this week in that I am not reviewing an IPA, but rather a craft lager, and a nice one too.
Connemara Irish Lager
Another Saturday, another brew. This was a nice one too, here's what the brewery has to say about it.
What they say
Here at Connemara Brewing Co., we are very proud of our beers. Our focus is on making a small number of beers really well - consistently high-quality beers is what we’re all about. Connemara is blessed with some of the highest quality water in the world, which combined with the highest quality raw materials, and crafted by the know-how of our world-class brewers, results in beers with consistently high quality.
All our beers are made from scratch here in our brewery in the heart of Connemara, using traditional recipes and the best possible local ingredients which we source directly from our carefully selected producers.
Beer Art
Sometimes simplicity is the key and that is certainly the case here with Connemara Irish lager, where the binary colours black and white are used to give a simple crisp and smooth look which matches the beer itself.

Thoughts
This beer is fresh, crisp, frothy and tasty. It's the kind of beer you could lush away for the night.
I love this photo from their Instagram account showing their beers set against the rugged beauty of Connemara on the West Coast of Ireland.
