Croke Park Hotel
I had to travel up to Dublin last Thursday for work and did an overnight at the Croke Park hotel as the work bosses treated us to a nice night out in a restaurant in town which was great.
It was just nice to see people face to face again after almost two years of Zoom calls and webex. There is something extra about being in the same room every so often. Now, dont get me wrong working from home is fantastic and it facilitated our family moving back to the West of Ireland, but in person communication is also essential so I do my best to make it up to Dublin at least one day a week to see the engineers in my team.
GAA Art
This piece of art was on the wall in the foyer of the hotel and I absolutely love it. Hurling is my favourite sport you see, and this abstract painting is of hurlers in a match.
It wasn't just paintings that caught my eye in the Croke Park Hotel either, there are also some fantastic photographs from back in the day on display. Here are just a few that I spotted around the hotel.
GAA Old Photpgraphs
It's definitely a hotel I'd like to revisit and the next time my wife and I visit Dublin for a gig or the likes, I think we'll stay here.
