Question 1 and 2, No.. I never incorrectly transfered any steem or SBD to a wrong exchange 😁 the first time I sold my SBD was 3 years ago, I asked a friend to do that because I wasn't familiar with any crypto exchange except steem.engine which now a story, at that time. Once I have an issue when transferring steem to hive.engine because I need to try something about the process. It stucked for unknown reason. Then the founder helped me out to get my small sum of steem successfully.. i dunno how they did it.

I sent my steem to toko crypto which also part of binance. Binance didn't work without VPN in my country but there are indodax (local crypto exchange) which I never tried. Bittrex works fine too according to my friend experience. But Tron? Alright, I don't even know where my key is 😁. For now, if I want to sent out my steem to exchange, toko crypto is my best option. I'll make sure that I won't do any mistake before I sent it by doing multiple check to the address and start with minimum amount first.

According to my experience while working as a support staff for a Blockchain based game. As long as we can trace the owner of the wallet and reach out to the exchange costumer service desk (if they have a good team) then the possibility to get your tokens back is 60-100%.

I think binance and bittrex works fine in South East Asia. @paopaoza, do you have an experience on this issue?

Does steemit has a good supporting team to handle this kinda issue? I mean what if I sent out my steem to a wrong unknown or died/inactive accounts, can I have it back? Does steemit have another exchange besides the blocktrades?

If you transfer it to a wrong accountname you can't transfer it, if to an existing one it's lost unless you know the owner or lay jands on the key or know some hacker. Turns out there are plenty around here.

It reminds me of years back where many transferred to one person and trusted him theur steem. @olivia08 didn't you use a muddleman back then? Was it @freedomshift? I believe it was you who adviced me back then to use him.

Binance is forbidden and we are out of options unless we find ways to transfer 6-8 times and pay fee over fee.
Now I mention fees; always thought no costs and fees were the plus above a bankacvount but today it's all the same. Both are controlled by the National (or EU) bank.

@moeki how about Revolut though they are expensive and Wise doesn't join plus restricts certain countries. Is Paypal already crypto friendly in the EU?

It feels as if the online banks win although they freeze your account, don't want to give you your cash and are the biggest brother of all (just not if your account is robbed or you want your money back 🤣).

Let's see: Coinbase has no Steem since years, blocktrades.us died longer ago so Poloniex and Me... are left but no idea if they have a Steemit account which is needed.

I can send/exchange with StealthEx. They work fine with Steemit but I cannot connect them to Coinmerce.

I didn't try P or M out yet only the ones Nigeria uses but I am banned, same for Indodax, and the one @cryptopie mentioned

What is Toko Crypto?

Perhaps we need a middleman again. It works fine with Nigeria.

@the-gorilla you can you puzzle it out although you are no longer "Brussel's Sprout".

🤔 Without a thrustworthy middle man the option is starting a business in foreign (registered) cellphone numbers or emigrate.

🍀♥️

Withdrawing in the UK is quite convoluted too. I send my STEEM to Binance where I trade it to USDT (which until recently, every exchange accepted and transfer fees between exchanges were reasonable - $1 USD if using TRON (TRC) transfer. There's also a lot of liquidity which means you get a fairer price with each trade). I'd then pay that small fee to transfer them to Kraken where I could trade USDT for GBP.

I'd then have to pay another small fee (£1 GBP I think) to transfer this to my bank account.

Binance used to do direct to bank withdrawals but not at the moment.

In time, as the world becomes increasingly crypto friendly, more exchanges will be accessible to each country but each country is unique at the moment - it's just a case of working out which exchange allows each transaction.

No Binance in the Netherlands it's forbidden. A few years ago I used to exchange TRX or LTC

My question: One can only send Steem if a Steemit account exists how to figure that out? Does poloniex have one how many others are there?

I hope you are right and an easier user friendly Steem (crypto) system will be avilable since this is one of the main reasons why people say they won't even start with it.

Yes, I think that all exchanges need a steemit username to operate. On my interface, the list of exchanges I have are below. They're not all direct exchanges - some are "middle-men".

["airhawk-exchange", "bdhivesteem", "binance-hot", "bittrex", "bitvavo", "capybaraexchange", "coinexofficial", "deepcrypto8", "dexchange", "dummyaccount", "escrow-services", "exchangeme",
"gateiodeposit", "graphene-swap", "htx-9tuqx5jg", "huobi-pro", "ionomy", "lucyunicornio", "mmprincessa", "mxcsteem", "olamax", "orinoco", "polo-wallet-01", "poloniex", "probitsteem", "roqqulovesteem", "sellsbdandsteem", "steem-exchange", "steem-exchange01", "steem2trx", "steem2usdt", "swap2020", "upbitsteem", "user.dunamu"];

I didnt use middle man now. Before I know how to trade in Binance or other exchanger, I sent my steem to another account who knew how to trade but she asked for payment that time. Are you not using Binance in UK @wakeupkitty? If ever I can do it for you and send the money through western union but it takes a lot of charges. Small or big amount the chargeis the same.

IMG_20241231_201254_967.jpg

Greetings friend, I have also known several cases where they make a mistake when transferring tokens, luckily for them, they make the wrong memo that is not commonly used by the platform, such as sending bdhivesteem with the memo "change", which there is a high probability of reimbursement, since the destination account is specific to the exchange platform.

If sent to an inactive account, it is difficult to recover the tokens, unless the owner appears and is honest.

Thanks for sharing on our channel.

I don't think it can be use outside Indonesia though.. I use trust wallet which connected to metamask which work nicely with pancake swap. Alright I use those stuff because of splinterlands 😁🫣 paypal is the only thing I didn't try.

Toko crypto was once a binance wallet, but then due to some policy upgrade regarding cryptocurrency in Indonesia. even though they're using the same network like you can login with your binance account and no need VPN to trade or do withdrawal to bank accounts. All you need is tax id😄

I mean what if I sent out my steem to a wrong unknown or died/inactive accounts, can I have it back?

Only the person who has the active key for the account can return it. There is no return transfer mechanism in the Steem blockchain without keys.

Only the person who has the active key for the account can return it. There is no return transfer mechanism in the Steem blockchain without keys.

Perhaps it is an essential part of the security of our Steemit accounts, otherwise we would all be at risk of losing our tokens.

Thanks for sharing on our channel.

Well.. 😊 once I have an issue, a player swnt out his tokens to steemit, that account doesn't exist yet. So, the first thing I suggested is to create that account on steemit and get his tokens back (that's before SE finally shut their domain) lucky that after that happened, we never accept that kind of ticket anymore 😁 thanks @moecki

Sorry for the late answer.
If an account doesn't exist the transfer will be rejected. The involved accounts are checked by the blockchain before the transfer will be executed.

In 2021, it happened though. I think it's a glitch while the tron took over steemit. I assisted one or two accounts at that time. They made it.

Bittrex works fine too according to my friend experience

Bittrex is no longer in the market

Oohh 😲 I'm gonna read through the news then, thanks

Yes, it has been unfortunate news.

@cicisaja

Thank you 🙌 tbh, I never tried this exchange before, but a friend constantly use their service back then.

IMG_20241231_201254_967.jpg

Greetings friend @cicisaja

I am glad to know that you have not had any problems related to an incorrect transaction, it is an uncomfortable situation especially if the amount of tokens is high.

It is true, there are exchange platforms that have a good customer service team to handle complaints or cases like these.

I don't know if there is a team willing to deal with cases like these, especially if you don't have the keys at hand, but there is a channel to try to recover our accounts through recover account. Perhaps it would be wise to contact a witness.

Thanks for sharing on our channel.

I never incorrectly transferred Steem or SBD so the answer is no. I didn't transfer much either since I didn't ynderstood for very long hiw to do it and since July I again don't know how to do it.

I could ask @mikitaly but we are not in the same country plus she saves. I mainly transfer to others. Communities to help them grow plus I pay prizes so there's nothing left ro tranafer. All I did in 2024 was buying steem for 1000+ euros which all affects the clubstatus negatively (also a strange thing).

There's a new rule so more taxes and restrictions if it comes to buying, transfers and selling crypto.

Is there a method to receive a wrong transfer back? Not even a bank will give me a hand if that would be the case.

Plenty works but there is a huge difference between what works and what is allowed and you find Steem.

Binance is forbidden, Bitvavo gave up on Steemit but keeps bragging about all the other 300+ coins they added. Steem must be a bad choice if I go for the info provided by them. Next to that the government does everything to discourage (punish) those with crypto.

What works is if you are registeeed in 100 ways and after that receive the permission for every single step. Lucky are perhaps those with old accounts and foreign phonenumbers.

What I want?
An eaay way to buy/sel steem and the posdibility to set beneficiaries after I posted.

@jiva34 @jiya99 @henryclive @krucekoncept @grebmot @cicisaja

Yes, I was a very happy customer of Bitvavo until they first kicked out the German customers and then Steem as well. Bitvavo now has an offshoot for German customers, but Steem is still not on board. I have requested the listing of Steem there. The more customers do this, the better. Maybe you can do that when you get a chance.
Although I wouldn't buy any Steem coins at the moment, there is still Coinmerce. It's even from the Netherlands.

the posdibility to set beneficiaries after I posted.

I have already thought about this. The beneficiaries are sent to the blockchain as a separate operation. I have long wanted to test whether it is possible to send them retrospectively.
On the other hand, maybe that's not the intention. Someone may have voted because benefits were set. If these are then changed shortly before payout, this is certainly not in the voter's interest. But perhaps a time window of one day would make sense.

I will ask Bitvavo again since I feel annoyed about how they brag about all the extra coins bkah blah blah and they never gave a reason why they dumped Steem.

Coinmerce is still a baby and they also embodied a part of Blox which is (was) a very basic one (buying a few fir a hifh orize, no transfers, high fees and only selling plus to your bankaccount).

Coinmerce I bought Steem it's still there but next? They refuse to open an acvount and that "senior" guy I was forced to have a video call with mainly talked avout me being attacked by scammers and didn't sound too smart. He gave me the feeling I was 99+ and braindead.

The main problem with swtring beneficiaries is that I forget or can not easily see it on my phone and forget.

same for what I type it's 4 rows only, no overview and scrolling back is hard. No way comments are wanted since it's made impossible.

How about a pop up or a reminder if we try to post? A time window of a few hours would already be a big help. Most "error" posts because of forgetting to set the bf will be noticed within 1-2 hours bit of time difference 6-8 is good enough.
The auto voter doesn't care, those who don't go for the sharing with X, Y and Z better upvote a comment.

I hope something is possible.

Btw if I set you instead of Steem for recovery how you garantee you have eternal life?
Next to that all old Steemians still have Steem I sew mainly those accounts. Is it worth to post about?
A great start and super day.

♥️🍀

Sorry for the late answer. I was a bit out of action.

Coinmerce I bought Steem it's still there but next? They refuse to open an acvoun

I don't understand. If you already bought STEEM, you must have an account?! Why would you open another account?
I have found that I can transfer from Coinmerce to my own wallet without any problems. However, I don't remember whether I had to verify my own wallet.

Btw if I set you instead of Steem for recovery how you garantee you have eternal life?

Sure.. I found the philosopher's stone ;-)
Seriously: Of course I can't do that. But not even Steemit can do that. It's more about accessibility if the worst comes to the worst. Try writing to @steem ;-)
There is of course the official way of recovery in the steemitwallet. However, you will need the email address you used when you registered. Do you remember it?

Great day also for you :-)

How many tries I have. I doubt my email changed since I started my account 🤔

The philosopher's stone is good enough. Btw I wrote Bitvavo. The result: an auto reply. Next an auto reply they are very busy...

If it comes to Coinmerce I have Steem in the Coinmerce wallet and it's connected to my bankaccount but they say I cannot transfer it to my Steem wallet. After hours of talk the IT department said it's not possible and they will not open a Steem account in the next years. So what I miss is the chain (easy way) between the Steemit wallet and Coinmerce.

I find it strange that it works for you. 🤔 Do they have a German department as well?

Btw The steemit wallet should be verified and this is the bottleneck, it doesn't work. I tried several times and that nowhere talk (about me being treated like a scammed elderly ) was the result.😐

How many tries I have.

I think the attempts are not limited. As I said, communication is the difficult part. You can't get hold of anyone. So it can be questionable whether the email from Steemit is just not arriving because no one has processed it yet or because it was the wrong email address. There have already been a few users here who have discussed this...

but they say I cannot transfer it to my Steem wallet

Strange! They also offer the withdrawal of STEEM. If it wouldn't work to transfer to an external wallet, the whole thing makes no sense at all. The statement is nonsense!

I had my address verified in 2021. Everything was still very simple back then. I also know that I had to write several emails because they didn't understand that the addresses consist of simple words. At first they said ‘moecki’ couldn't be the address. Eventually it worked out.
But I can't tell you what needs to be shown on the screenshot for them to accept it as your wallet. Although I think that's silly. It's up to me to decide where I want to transfer the coins to. Whether to Africa or Asia or to my wallet!

I would have thought it would be easier for you, as you can talk to them in Dutch. I had to do it in English back then, which didn't make it any easier.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Don't be fobbed off with the statement that it's not possible!

Let's see what will happen. I asked someone else to install the app and hit those buttons.
The more, the merrier.

Btw I didn't receive an answer why Germany is kicked out.

IMG_20241231_201302_004.jpg

Thanks for bringing my attention to where these things can be discussed. If the process of cashing out were made clear and easy and safe there would be a lot more activity on Steemit. The coin stays in a range now of $.26-$30. It would go higher. But along with increased activity would come increased attention and opportunists... of the money only type. Right now Steemit is a great platform for learning and exchanging ideas. with the possibility to generate funds. I think the focus would shift from that to money, money, money and a lot of the real value of Steem would be lost. Six of one half dozen of another.

IMG_20241231_201254_967.jpg

Huh.. no binance no bittrex, then what will you do if you need to cash out some steem/SBD?

Good question. It looks as if I can't I can send it to StealthEx and next?

I have to study again the billion steps @grebmot took.

It's basically just sending STEEM to an exchange like mexc, selling it, and then buying something more tradeable. Send that to another wallet and that's it basically.

You could also try turning your crypto in gift vouchers. Haven't done that yet and feel like it might potentially lead to Amazon locking your account for suspicious behavior. Besides, those sites seem shady.

No chance with Binance... Then I'll stick with grebmot's method, I guess. I might have to study some more.

Thank you for bringing this up. This is very crucial.

Greetings friend @wakeupkitty.pal

I am glad to know that you have not had the problem of having transferred incorrectly, many cases do not manage to recover their Steem.

All I did in 2024 was buying steem for 1000+ euros which all affects the clubstatus negatively (also a strange thing).

I do not understand this situation very well, when a user invests directly it can be added as Power Up. Now, if what you did was take out Steem to exchange in the market and try to generate more Steem, there it does affect your balance to stay in a club.

An eaay way to buy/sel steem and the posdibility to set beneficiaries after I posted.

Good suggestion, although everything has a positive and negative side, perhaps they would use this option to divert rewards to farming accounts.

I never took Steem I brought Steem to the platform. All my transfers go to communities I grow and to Steemians (prizes, aid) it always has been that way. So yes, all my club statuses are infected because of this. Should I care? I no longer do, it's what I learned in 2024 since if it comes to it I am treated like all those who transferred Steem to use for themselves. I used 0 and did not even buy 1 single small present for my children which my intention was at the start of 2024.

So you state it's better to make it as difficult as possible to buy Steem?

A farmer will always farm and a scammer and hacker will always find a way.

The way you put it means that only poor bastards will be attracted and they only take and no one will buy/invest in Steem, not even those who have 10 dollars "left" per month.

The options were there years ago so why not today?

When it comes to giving out Steem to contest prizes, they are not taken into account as withdrawals, however, it is recommended to give prizes in Steem Power. On the other hand, it is not necessary to transfer to the community account to pay the prizes, you can do that from your personal account.

As for the beneficiaries, we are clear that abusers will always be willing to exploit the options to generate rewards; My point is that, if a user has a 25% beneficiary to @null or another charitable account, and they can edit and change it, then we would have to be attentive until the effective payment is made, to show that they have complied with their part. It is difficult to think of a need to add a beneficiary to a publication after 2 or more days of publication, unless it is for contest prizes in which the winners are already known before the end of the collection date.

In any case, many things can be addressed with each of our ideas and/or needs.

I send the prize money to the communities but also Steem so the communities can power up. There's no other way for them to grow.
If it comes to SP I discussed that at least twice and I like to ask you now: what is the benefit for the one who receives it since I can take it back any minute and in reality I give nothing. The receiver has no Steem, and can't power up, so the prize given is more like an empty cloud but as I understand this seems to be the latest trend if it comes to "giving".

A lot has changed from years ago but perhaps this is the only way to keep the money yourself and not fill the pockets of the scammers.
I like to hear why it is recommended. Do you have SBI yourself or UVF?

The only reason why I find it helpful to set a beneficiary later is because I forget at the moment I do it and I remember it later. Setting beneficiaries for a prize is something I gave up on because it simply doesn't work if you don't know how much a post will be rewarded with and with me, it's on average not high. Giving 20% of not even 1 $ isn't a prize, but could be I am the only one thinking this way.

Thanks for the update.

Community accounts should be collective, growing from delegations, but the rewards should be shared fairly over the long term between administrators and delegates.

It's true, sometimes we forget to enter the beneficiary. Prizes less than 3 Steem, as you say, are not worth it, however, one of the intentions of the contests is to promote participation, hoping that these can be supported by any account that generates good rewards.

Yes, I have SBI votes, before I sent to the steembasicincome account, I was also able to win contests where they gave SBI as prizes, I think one of those who uses this prize method is @joslud.

Binance is so friendly and we can select what currencies if in case we need p2p Example I'm here in Saudi every national can do it but I did p2p using our currency and I did p2p using Philippines peso though I am here in Saudi but I have E wallet
Steem to Usdt to Philippines peso

Steem to Binance p2p by USDT then change it to Peso.

Greetings friend @olivia.

Binance has been an excellent option for token exchange in many countries, especially with P2P to change to the fiat currency we require.

Thank you for sharing with us on our channel.

You are welcome and I agree with you. Binance is the best experienced I have in trading. It's my first exchanger I downloaded and there is something more than experienced in trading. The one who taught me and gave the link became my best friends since then and until now.

Happy New Year with Abundance and Prosperity @adeljose

Thank you. Happy new year to you too.
