The Wise One (Sketchbook Sessions) 🖌🖤🧡

I checked up on my technical pens today after almost 4 years which I also used in my interior design renderings. My art pens are in use no matter what so I need to replenish my pen supplies quite often. Unclogging the nibs took me about 1-2 hours because I had to leave them submerged in a solution for sometime. The ink filling process is the easiest in these pens because of the convenient neck of the ink bottle. But I was having a clumsy day in general and ended up getting some on my legs lol.

Anyway, I was in the perfect zone to do some ink sketches today and chose a picture of this lady. I sometimes feel there is so much character and so much to do with faces of elderly people. That cannot be found on younger faces! Every single wrinkle gives you something for your sketch/illustration. I decided to cross hatch most of the portions and leave the background a little rough on purpose. Felt like it added more interest than a plain black background.

Let me know what you guys think. I love to hear from you! 🧡
