Petite, it seemed. But it was the true sovereign in the webs it created. It preferred to cross its legs in an X shape, as if it only had four legs, in fact, it had eight.
Argiope trifasciata or commonly known as the banded garden spider is a species of spider in the family Araneidae. These spiders are commonly seen in gardens or in forests. They build spider webs among weeds or other plants that are not very tall. The cobwebs it builds are effective enough to ensnare enemies. They are calm predators and tend not to be aggressive, but they are still deadly predators!

Mungil kelihatannya, tetapi dia penguasa sejati di jaring-jaring yang diciptakannya. Dia lebih suka menyilangkan kakinya dengan bentuk X, seolah hanya memiliki empat kaki, padahal, dia punya delapan kaki.
Argiope trifasciata atau umumnya dikenal laba-laba taman berpita merupakan spesies laba-laba dalam keluarga Araneidae. Laba-laba ini umumnya sering terlihat di taman-taman, atau di hutan. Mereka membangun jaring laba-laba di antara tanaman gulma atau tanaman lain yang tidak terlalu tinggi. Jaring laba-laba yang dia bangun cukup efektif untuk menjerat musuh. Mereka adalah predator yang kalem dan cenderung tidak agresif, tetapi tetap saja dia adalah predator yang mematikan!

Looks creepy!! As far as my knowledge goes....It is impossible that nibbles would happen except if individuals took care of a female with an egg sac in the web. And still, after all that, the nibble would probably cause no more distress than a wasp or honey bee sting in many people.
