Greetings to the entire Steemit community
Dear friends, I am going to make contributions for a while about figures of history, characters that with their creativity, work, patience and dedication have achieved important changes, so that this world is what it is today.
LOUIS BRAILLE
Dear friends, I am going to make contributions for a while about figures of history, characters that with their creativity, work, patience and dedication have achieved important changes, so that this world is what it is today.
The character that I will refer to today, is one of the least talked about, but the truth is that he managed to bring millions of people out of the darkness, before his important invention for many the world was lost, they were ignored, and practically society placed them as waste, this because the times were different, other times and other activities.
The character I am referring to is Louis Braille, French pedagogue born in France on January 4, 1809, from a very humble family, at the age of 3 years in a home accident he lost his sight and lacking resources, being blind in past centuries, was practically a disgrace.
In spite of his age and his social condition, Braille managed to advance, excelling in his studies, since he received scholarships from institutions and set out to make changes in the condition of people who, like him, lived in total darkness.
Braille was inspired by military cartography, as it is well known this type of material contains reliefs and is a tactile system in many aspects, this would lead him to create a method for people with blindness to facilitate communication.
The system that we know today as BRAILLE SYSTEM, opened the doors to communication to those who had no sight, although it is true that before him, VALENTIN JAUI, had created forms and had made attempts to improve communication, Braille improved all this, which took him years of development and study, the Braille System is composed of codes and forms, is eminently tactile and easy to learn.
Today, thanks to this French professor, millions of people in the world are incorporated into normal life, there are great musicians, mathematicians, teachers, writers, lawyers and we could say of all professions, people who are blind but have no limitations and bring to the world all their creative ability.
We all know that losing our sight is very unfortunate, but in the world there are many institutions that support us to move forward, the Braille method has given us the opportunity to continue, every day there are new advances and we will have a time when blindness will only be something insignificant in the lives of people 'because they will always have the light as a central point.
Louis Braille died in Paris on January 6, 1852, as a great tribute in 1952 his remains were taken to the Pantheon in Paris next to people like Dumas, Curie, Monnet and others and since 1999 there is an asteroid that bears his name.
Thank you for stopping to read my post, I hope to see you soon.
LOUIS BRAILLE
