My Obsession with Speed

I have had an obsession with speed for the longest of times and because of that I have done some crazy stupid stuff in life which are both memories as well as scars for me as if things would have gone wrong then things would have been very different for me. So today I will be writing about a few of my Bike Riding adventures which were fun, crazy and a memory for a lifetime.

Missing my Train

My obsession with speed started when I went to college and found some local friends there. One of those friends had a Bike which just had 180 CCs in it but that was all we needed. It was my first year and we wanted to visit Bokaro for a Gaming Competition and we had our train at 7 AM in the morning but as usual we missed the train and in the heat of the moment we decided to travel the 300 miles on the bike that too at an amazing speed.

The fun thing was that we were riding at such a high speed that my pillion rider had his shoes melted in the silencer of the Bike. It was so funny when he was about to come off the bike and just couldn’t as his shoes were stuck to the silencer. Plus the fact also remains that it took us a full tank to reach Bokaro and two full tank to come back as the engine was so overheated from all the speed.

Getting to the Movies

When I was in college the nearest Multiplex was like 40 miles away and for some weird reason they used to give tickets at a 60 percent off for their First Day First show movies. Now I am not sure which movie it was but it was definitely a Harry Potter movie and we were late to watch the First day First Show so we literally rode the bike at max speed and at a couple of pints I even had to ride the bike through wheat fields and we reached the theatres on time.

Yes I know that this is definitely called rash driving and at that point of time I didn’t know any better but it was also in my third year at college when I met an accident and broke my left wrist that I realised speed is not everything in life and I should always ride at a speed that I can control instead of speed controlling me.
