This is the entry to current photography contest by @ak1o
Have to admit that the forest at the coast of Baltic Sea is quite special. It starts just at the point the beach ends, so we are talking about only some 30-50 meters from the sea, while beach itself is very fine small sand. So even in a very hot Summer day (those still happens time to time even here) you can easily find the shadow in some colder air just very close to the sea and being able to go to swim without any trouble.
Other thing, it really consists of mixed types of trees, obviously starting from pine-trees and fitrees, but at the same time they are just mixed with normal deciduous (leaf-bearing) trees. For quite a long time by now I actually not making the photos of the forest. Well, unless something very special happening - either some interesting weather conditions, like fog or sun beams, either the forest itself is very unusual and interesting with rotten trees, etc.
Basically this series is quite from an old archive from 2013, when I was taking my very first steps in photography trying different types of lenses and different approaches, compositions, shooting points. Quite late spring in May, but the leaves only started to grow. Normally I do not like greenish colors in my photos, but this very special green color of young leaves is something special.
Very wide angle lens was mounted this time and gave just a perfect possibility to play with all those trees making them look almost giant on a 12mm focal distance. And not to forget just a lot of fun shooting straight vertical truing to find best combination of all those lines moving to the center of the frame and making perfect rounded compositions
